Workspace Community Fund
Workspace was established in 1982 to stimulate social and economic regeneration in the Magherafelt District Council Area. Since then they have become one of Irelands leading forces for community economic and social regeneration. Today in addition to providing business support services and business property the Workspace Group is also involved in recruitment, training and employment initiatives, energy efficiency, heat receovery systems , childcare and recreational activities. These commercial activities are pursued to generate profits that are then used for the benefit for the local community.
The Workspace Community Fund which is being managed by The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland will provide financial assistance to voluntary and community groups that want to make a positive impact in the local area.
Amount of funding available
Grants will not normally exceed £250
Who can apply?
This is a local fund targeted at community and voluntary groups in the Magherafelt District Council Area.
What the fund will support
The Fund welcomes applications that will
· improve the local area
· promote community involvement
· enhance the quality of life and well being of local residents
· address local need

What the fund will not support
The Workspace Community Fund will not support
· applications from statutory organisations
· applications that promote religious or political activities
